I’m a fully accredited and Ofsted registered Childminder located in the Muscliff area of Bournemouth. I am also a member of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years), EYTO (Early Years Teacher Organisation) and a Bournemouth Childminder of the Year Award Nominee, 2014 and 2015. I work full time with my husband, Simon, who has also been DBS (formerly CRB) checked and declared as suitable to work with children by Ofsted and we also work with an apprentice who is studying for her level 2 Childcare qualification.
We enjoy lots of fun and educational activities within the home and regularly visit our local Children's Centres, libraries, museums and groups too. As a Forest Childcare Provider, I also ensure we make the most of the outdoors, spending time in the garden every day and visiting our local parks, woodland areas and beaches as often as we can.
I have a food hygiene rating of 5, 'very good', and provide healthy balanced meals and snacks and actively promote and encourage healthy choices. I’m happy to discuss any special dietary requirements with parents in order to fully accommodate all children in my care.
I have a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies and Early Years Teacher Status. I regularly attend childcare training, including First Aid and Safeguarding Children and I use my knowledge and experience to provide a warm and welcoming environment for children to learn, develop and have fun in, offering parents full reassurance and peace of mind when returning to work.
